1990 - 2000 Demographic Profiles - County, Villages & Townships

In early 2002, the Northwest Michigan Council of Governments (NWMCOG) used the 2000 Census General Demographic Characteristics report (Demographic Profile 1 based on the 100% data) and modified it to include the comparable 1990 Census numbers, and to calculate a percent change between the 1990 and 2000 census figures. These are comprehensive tabulations, 8 pages per township, of a wide variety of information derived from the two censuses.

Antrim County and Township Trend Profiles (1970-2000)

In late 2002, the NWMCOG compiled a simplified demographic profile of each of the 15 counties that are included in its service area. At the request of Antrim County, NWMCOG in 2003 compiled a similar profile of each of the townships of the county. (No village profiles were attempted due to unavailability of much of the data at the village level.) These profiles highlight selected information from the 1970, 1980, 1990, and 2000 decennial censuses as well as from state and other federal agencies. The data is less comprehensive than those from the files at left, but covers trends over a longer time period, and is presented in easily understandable tables, charts, and graphs.
