Antrim County
MICHIGAN

Government

Antrim County government is comprised of a 9-member elected Board of Commissioners and the county departments

The Board of Commissioners is the county's governing body. The Board is the central policy-making body of the county and approves the county's budget.

At their January 2, 2019 organizational meeting, the Board of Commissioners voted to eliminate the four standing committees (Health & Public Safety, Buidlings, Lands, & Infrastructure, Administration & County Services, and Finance Committee of the Whole). The minutes from those committee meetings can be accessed using the drop down menu to the right on the Minutes & Agendas page.

A number of commissions & advisory boards have been created to assist the Board of Commissioners in various ways. Members of these commissions and boards are appointed by the Board. Special boards and commissions meet periodically to assist the Commissioners. Please see the bottom of the home page for information on upcoming meetings.
