The Antrim County Housing Committee assists with the rehabilitation of low income families' homes to remove existing health and safety hazards within the home. We also assist with the replacement of existing homeowner trailers/homes with new double wide homes.
Antrim County received $175,000 in grant funds for Homeowner Rehabilitation. This project will also include administration costs. Antrim County will rehabilitate thirteen (13) owner-occupied homes within Antrim County.
Antrim County received a grant for $228,000 from Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA) for Antrim and Kalkaska Counties. Antrim County Housing will assist eight (8) qualified homebuyers with down payment assistance and moderate rehabilitation with these grant funds in the Village of Mancelona and the Village of Kalkaska.
Antrim County Housing Committee will be in partnership with Rural Development or another lender of the applicant's choice to purchase the dwelling of choice and repairs funds will come from the housing department in the form of a silent second mortgage.
Qualifications for this program are as follows: income according to family size, good credit, and first time homebuyer.
