Solid Waste and Recycling Council
The Solid Waste and Recycling Council was created by the Antrim County Board of Commissioners to serve as an advisory Council to the Board of Commissioners and the implementation oversight Council, pursuant to the Antrim County Solid Waste Management Plan as approved by the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality on November 14, 2000.
The Council comprises nine (9) members, appointed by the Board of Commissioners.
The functions of the Council are:
- To oversee the implementation of the Solid Waste Management Plan as approved by the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality on November 14, 2000.
- To act as an advisory council to the Antrim County Board of Commissioners in regard to solid waste issues.
The Council meets on the Monday of the week preceding the County Public Works Committee meeting, at 3 p.m. at the Board of Commmissioners room.
