Cedar River Natural Area

tn_cedar_river_photoThe Cedar River Natural Area contains one of the least known trail systems within Antrim County. These trails meander through untouched swamp conifer forest, upland forest, and riparian forest along the Cedar River. (Click here for a trail map.)

A variety of trail loops exist within the natural area. In total, there are 4 miles of trails. The trails are jointly owned and maintained by the Village of Bellaire and Antrim County.

Directions to the park: There are three trailhead access points. The Fairground Trailhead is located at the Antrim County Fairgrounds and is the most-used access point. The Burrel Trailhead and the Mellon Trailhead receive less traffic. Click here for more information.
