Wetzel Lake

Wetzel Lake Park offers visitors serene surroundings and picnic spots. It's also a favorite local swimming hole (non-motorized boats only with some exceptions).

Located on state forest land, the park is operated jointly by the Township of Mancelona and the County of Antrim with assistance from the Antrim Conservation District, in partnership with the Michigan DNR.

Hours: Wetzel Lake Park is open May through October from morning to dusk.

Directions to the park: Wetzel Lake is roughly 4 miles northeast of Mancelona. From Mancelona, at the intersection of US 131 and M-88, take US 131 north for approximately 2½ miles. Turn right on Wetzel Lake road and follow to its end (approximately 1½ miles).
